Israel- Lazarus' Tomb

After leaving Jerusalem are first stop was at Lazarus' Tomb in Bethany. Bethany is not very far away from Jerusalem, but like Bethlehem it is in the West Bank so we had to drive out of Jerusalem around the walls and than back up into the city. There really wasn't much to see at Lazarus' tomb. There was a church next to it like all the other Holy sites that we had been to. It was actually my turn to give the devotional when we got to Bethany. From the story I decided to focus on the Lord's timing. All that Christ asks is that we have faith in him. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? (John 11:40). From a talk giving my Dallin H. Oaks I found the following quote. "We cannot have true faith in the Lord without also having complete trust in the Lord's will and in the Lord's timing." As we have faith and allow the Lord's timing to affect our life, we too can see the miracles in our lives.
