Israel- Beit She'an

Our next stop was to Beit She'an. It is the ruins of one of the Roman decapolis cities. It's been excavated pretty extensively. I love seeing the details in the cities like the mosaic floors. The people spent so much time making their communities beautiful. There were also some columns that had detail carvings on the top. Beit She'an is the largest site that we have visited so far. It was amazing to see how large the area was that was once the city. So much of it has been uncovered. It actually has a relatively well preserved (or partial reconstructed) amphitheatre.
It's amazing to see how the cities worked and what was important to them.
