Family Vacation- Day 5

Day 5 of our vacation we started by packing up camp for the last time. Always makes me sad, because it means that I'll be headed back to reality. Camping is so nice cause you are able to get away from so much when camping. Our first stop of the day was to Standish-Hickey which supposedly has the best swimming hole in Northern California. At least that's what the map said. It was a nice little swimming hole with some rocks that the other kids were jumping off of. From there we continued our trip down the California coast. The drive down the 1 is a beautiful drive, it can be slow and winedy, but it's pretty none the less. It was a little more overcast along the shore that day, but we stopped at a cool bridge and inlet for a little bit just to walk around. Eventually we made our way back inland. We decided to take a poll in the car to see how many miles it would be until the marine layer cleared and if I remember right it was about 8 miles in from the shore that the sun was shinning again. We made our way back to Vacaville were we stayed at my Aunt and Uncles house again. It is always nice to sleep in a bed after sleeping on the ground for so long, but I missed having a campfire, seeing the stars and listening to the nature all around me.
