Family Vacation- Day 1

So from San Fransisco (Vacaville actually where we stayed the night at my Aunt and Uncles house) we headed north. The first stop along the way was at Shasta Dam. The sign on the door of the visitors center said that Shasta Dam is the second largest dam in the United States. Not really sure how that is measured but kind of cool. After our stop at Shasta Dam we did a quick drive by of the Castle Crags. We were trying to find a god place to get a good picture of them from the road. From there we headed north to our camp ground at Joseph Stewart State Park. It was right on the edge of Lost Creek Lake. It was a pretty nice camp ground. After setting up camp we went for a nice walk along the lake shore and had some time to just relax. My sisters pulled out the frisbee and we just got to enjoy relaxing around camp. We made a campfire and had grilled sandwiches for dinner. It was nice just to sit by the fire and watch the stars come out. There were so many stars to see too. That's one of my favorite things about camping is all the stars in the sky. It's always so peaceful.
