North Mountain Park
This morning we went out hiking again. This week we decided to go to North Mountain Park. It was overcast when we got up this morning, but I didn't think it was suppose to rain until this afternoon. I got a couple pictures of the beautiful green valley taken before I had to put my camera away because it was raining so hard. Michelle and I were soaked by the time we were done. Had it not been for the cold rain and the wind it wouldn't have been too bad, we just couldn't feel our fingers at the end. It was still beautiful, just cold!

Knowledge Base
So I decided that it's important to have a good knowledge base. There is no way that one person could know everything, so it's about who you know and what they know. So my garbage disposal died about two weeks ago and I decided that it was finally time to fix it. Early this week I talked to a coworker who told me to check the power supply and if that wasn't the problem that I would have to just replace the unit. This morning when I checked the unit it didn't seem to have any problem with the power. So before running across the street to get a new unit I decided to call my mom. She shared with me a little hint. There is a reset switch located on the bottom of the unit that trips to stop the motor from over heating. I found the button on the bottom and amazingly the garbage disposal was working again. Yeah for mom's who know things. It saved me the time and effort (and money) of having to replace my garbage disposal. Now I can add the fact that there is a trip switch on a garbage disposal. Just thought I'd pass on the info, so you can increase your knowledge base too!
The Olympics
So I think more than almost anything else I love watching the Olympics, because of the amazing passion that so many of the athletes have for the sport. There is also something heart warming about watching the joy when they win. Some day I'll be able to go to the Olympics live... that's a dream that I'll have to get to some day.
Gunlock- Jaxon
So since I've been wanting to take more pictures I decided to chase my cousins son around this weekend to see if I could catch any good pictures of him. He's so funny. We were outside feeding the horses and playing around on the tractor. We had to run everywhere, because that's how much energy he has. So cute, that's all I have to say!
Gunlock- Birthdays
So my brother and sister have the same birthday (and not they aren't twins). They just got lucky enough to have the same birthday. We pulled out the Happy Birthday banner and celebrated while we were up in Gunlock. I'm not sure who opened more presents, Julie, Rob or Jaxon. It was still enjoyable for everyone. Happy Birthday, birthday kids! (not really kids anymore).
Gunlock- Hike
When I was up in Gunlock last weekend I went for a hike with my Dad out behind the house. We ended up hiking to the top of a hill. The view from the top was amazing and definitely worth the hike. You could see most of the valley. It was such an amazing view we had to get a couple of panorama pictures. Beautiful!

Thunderbird Park Hike
I realize that these pictures are a little late, since we went hiking over a week ago, but here they are. Since Michelle and I have decided to go hiking every Saturday morning I'm sure you'll get to see lots of pictures of different parts of Phoenix. Thunderbird Park is located north of Phoenix and it was a gorgeous day to see the valley.

90,000 miles
I reached a milestone in my car yesterday.... I hit 90,000 miles. The car is only about 5 years old, but I've definitely gotten lots of miles on it in those five years. Can't believe I drive that much, but I'm always up for adventure so it doesn't surprise me. Here's to the next 90,000 miles!

Where Did January Go?
So it dawned on me this week that time just continues to get faster and faster. I mean I typically just go week to week thinking about the things that I need to get done, but they seem to pass so quickly and not much seems to have changed. I guess that's what happens when so much time is sucked up going to work each week. I guess I'll just have to make the most of the rest of my time. Well at least for the other 11 months this year!
